Little Scholars Daycare Center II
Our Curriculum has been carefully crafted to fit various learning styles according to a creative-learning model and high-scope teaching method. Since our curriculum is based on all aspects of development, we have broken it down to address each domain in different ways, for different age groups.
We aim to develop listening and speaking skills in children from a very early age – even before their first birthday. Children as young as 12 months will be singing songs – and learning to communicate – through gestures. Older children will be exposed to books, develop awareness of a printed word, and begin to make sense of their phonemic world.
All children will have the opportunity to communicate with peers and adults in a constructive and nurturing environment allowing them to learn and master their language and speaking abilities.
We help children learn to dress and feed themselves, use the toilet, brush teeth, tie shoes, and other daily activities that will allow them to develop age-appropriate self-sufficiency and, consequently, promote calm and self-assurance.
We aim to help children increase their large (gross motor) and small (fine motor) muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do.
